The third Test of The Ashes 2021-22 will begin from tomorrow and the England team will be looking to make a comeback into the series, the series so far has been a nightmare as England has the first two test matches and they are struggling with almost every aspect. From Opening to bowling the team has looked toothless and it will be a miracle if they are able to put the Australian team under the pump.
(Ashes 2021-22) The English batsmen apart from Joe Root and Dawid Malan haven’t been able to put a cumulative performance to put Australian bowler under the pressure. Most of the runs have been scored by Joe Root and David Malan who have scored 175 and 188 runs respectively in four innings of the first two matches. The third-highest scorer for England is all-rounder Chris Woakes who has scored 105 runs.
The problem does end in the batting for England their woes continue in the bowling as well. Their veteran Stuart Broad and James Anderson haven’t been able to perform as per their standards which is hurting the English team. The veteran duo was able to take only five wickets in the second test and in the first test they didn’t play.
For England, the problem starts from their batting and there is no end to that, the team keeps on rotating their player, and an example of this is Mark Wood has played back-to-back test matches only thrice. So, for the England team to make their comeback won’t be easy especially when they have so much struggle going on.
(Ashes 2021-22) Captain Joe Root has to make some tough decisions in the dressing room if they want to keep their Ashes dream alive otherwise it is going to be another cakewalk win for the Australian team, who are on a cruise to retain the ashes.
