4th Test: Australia in Command Despite loosing 5 wickets on Day One | Advantage

4th Test :

The final test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy begins today and as expected both teams made changes in their playing 11 or we can say they were forced to make changes in their playing 11 as the injury concerns kept on rising for both the teams.

(4th Test) So, Australian captain Tim Paine won the toss and elected to bat first but this came rather shocking to the Aussies camp as the opener David Warner was back in the pavilion on the very first over of the day. Marcus Harris and Marnus Labuschagne tried to get hold of the inexperienced Indian bowling attack but Shardul Thakur gave the Aussies another shock by getting the wicket of Marcus Harris.

(4th Test) The working horse of Australian batting was on the crease and they kept on building the pressure on the Indian bowlers especially Steve Smith who chooses to be aggressive in the early stage of his inning. The duo of Labuschagne and Smith kept Indian bowlers at bay till Lunchtime and made sure Australia doesn’t lose any more wicket in the first session.

(4th Test) The partnership between the two grew up to 70 runs and it was looking very threatening for the Indian bowlers but debutant Washington Sundar made sure that this partnership does not harm India as they much already did and he took the wicket of Steve Smith who was looking set for another big inning.

The wickets kept on tumbling on the other hand but desperate Marnus has little to no effect on him he was slow in the starting phase of the innings but once he completed his fifty the kept the Indian bowlers under the pump he kept on blocking and kept on scoring runs on bad balls. But in his innings, he was fortunate to get dropped by one of the safest hands in Indian cricket Ajinkya Rahane. And he made sure that Indians pay the price of this and scored a magnificent century for his country.
