Veteran South African cricketer AB de Villiers continued his tremendous form in IPL 2021. With this, he scored an unbeaten 76 to give Royal Challengers Bangalore their third consecutive win in the tournament. RBC defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 38 runs. Ab de Villiers also issued an unfulfilled wish after the win. He said he wanted to play for South Africa again. De Villiers said on April 18 that it would be great to return to international cricket before the T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup will be held in India in October-November this year.
De Villiers said after playing the match-winning innings for his team Royal Challengers Bangalore against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL), “It would be fantastic if I could make a place in the team (South Africa).” Said that even if he failed to make a comeback, he would have no qualms. The 37-year-old player said that he would talk to coach Mark Boucher about this in the last leg of the IPL. He said, ‘I am totally interested in this, as far as my form, my fitness is concerned, then we have to select the best 15 players. We will plan accordingly. I will discuss this with Boucher at the end of the IPL.
