The ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to be held in India in October-November this year, but due to coronavirus, the tournament continues to be in crisis.

There are doubts about the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in India this year. The tournament is scheduled to be held in October-November, but there are still 2-3 lakh infection cases in India and more than three and a half thousand people are dying every day. In such a situation, the International Cricket Council (ICC) can decide on this in its meeting on 1 June. But before this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has called its special meeting, in which it will be discussed. The board has called its special general meeting on May 29, which will discuss the Indian cricket calendar and the T20 World Cup will be held at its center.

Discussion on the domestic season along with World Cup

According to the report of the news agency PTI, BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has sent a note to all the state associations, in which on June 29, the SGM has spoken. It says that given the situation of the coronavirus epidemic in India, the upcoming cricket season will be discussed. This SGM will be conducted online only.

Apart from the World Cup, no decision has been taken on domestic cricket in India in the coming season. It is believed that in addition to the domestic season, there will be a discussion on the women’s cricket team’s calendar as well.

BCCI planning before ICC’s Plan-B!
