Coach gets angry over Rishabh Pant’s comparison with MS Dhoni

Rishabh Pant had been out of Team India till last year but now he is the main part.

Rishabh Pant stepped into the IPL for the first time in 2016.

Young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has made a splash with his game in the last six months. Since the Test series on Australia tour, this player’s discussions are on every tongue. Rishabh Pant was out of Team India till last year but now he is the main part. Giants from all over the world are appreciating his game and describing it as the biggest star of the times to come. Some veterans have even predicted that he will become the captain of Team India. Pant is also compared to former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. But this is not liked by Pant’s childhood coach Tarak Sinha. He says that comparisons to Dhoni should be stopped all the time.

In an interview with News18, Tarak Sinha said on the question of comparison with Dhoni, “Pant is definitely a game-changer and improves very well.” But what is the need to compare with Dhoni all the time? It needs to be understood that Dhoni too took time to show his ability to the world. We have to be patient with Pant. His time will come. He has only just started. ”In the early days of his career, Pant was very much compared to Dhoni. Whenever there was something wrong with him behind the wicket, he was ridiculed. On the field too, the spectators used to raise pressure on him by raising slogans of Dhoni-Dhoni. Due to this, Pant was also out of the team.

Someone else in place of Rishabh Pant, it would have been shattered.

About this, Tarak Sinha said, ‘Rohan Gavaskar was not a bad player but he was always reminded that he is not even around his father. That’s what happened to Pant. If there were any other players, by now such a comparison would have shattered the pressure. But I have been saying that Pant’s willpower is amazing and he keeps his focus on reform. Pant was told he could hit the same kind of shots and soon added several more shots to his quiver.’

Pant’s coach further said that he is being praised a lot right now but he needs to remain humble. He has achieved a lot in the last two months but remains the same. Recently, he also took his feedback on his game through video conferencing. Tarak Sinha told that Pant has kept telling him that he can tell them anytime if there is any deficiency in the game.
