In today’s second match in IPL 2021, Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 wickets. In Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, Punjab scored 194 runs while batting first, in response to which Shikhar Dhawan’s brilliant innings of 92 runs helped Delhi win by 6 wickets in the 19th over. Delhi has the second win from 3 matches this season and the team has come in second place with 4 points. At the same time, Punjab has the second defeat in 3 matches and the team is in seventh place due to poor net run rate.

IPL’s New ‘Chase Master’ Shikhar Dhawan

With this, Dhawan took a big record in IPL history. This was Dhawan’s 18th time in his IPL career when he scored 50 or more in the chase and the team successfully achieved the target. Dhawan equaled Kolkata Knight Riders and former Delhi captain Gautam Gambhir in the case.

Gambhir also did so 18 times, but takes Dhawan forward with his average, which is much higher than Gambhir’s. Shikhar Dhawan averages 63.51 in these innings, while Gambhir has a 49.70. After these two, the number three Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner (17 innings 68.18 average).

After catching the ball, Deepak Hooda started laughing on his own and kept lying on the ground for a few moments. At the same time, even the commentators could not stop laughing after seeing Hooda taking a catch like this.
