Eng Win: Eng starts tour with bang won first test by 227 runs | Advantage

The Confident England team has beaten the Host by the massive 227 runs on the 5th day of the first test match. The English team throughout dominated the Indian team and never gave them a chance to be a part of this match. England team won the toss on the very first day and they used it to very perfection as the pitch was batting paradise for the first two days of the game. England’s captain who was playing his 100th Test match made sure that he made it a memorable one and he scored the double ton in the first innings and he got support from All Rounder Ben Stokes and Dominic Sibley as they both scored 82 and 87 runs respectively.

(Eng Win) England team made massive 578 runs before getting all out on the third day of the test match, the team batted 190 overs giving the Indian fielders a hard time on the field. And after that, their bowlers joined the party and they bowled out India on 337 runs, Rishabh Pant, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Washington Sundar tries to fight back with the Englishmen’s score but their efforts were just not good enough for India as were trailed behind by 241 runs.

(Eng Win) In the second innings of the match, Indian bowlers did a far from the better job as they clean out the English batsmen on 178 runs, despite being all out on 178 runs England was still able to give India to chase 420 on the last day of the test match. India was looking for a solid start from the openers but Rohit Sharma went cheaply on the fourth day, he was undone by the left-arm spinner Jack Leach.

(Eng Win) Looking from the recent past record of India it wasn’t a tough job, but just after the starting half-hour play of 5th-day Cheteshwar Pujara was sent back to the pavilion by the Jack Leach. Virat Kohli and Shubhman Gill tried to find a way to tackle English bowlers but they were unable to do so. Shubhman Gill Completed his second fifty in this process but he was soon knocked over by James Anderson. All of the Indian hopes were lying on the Ajinkya Rahane but he didn’t last long and he was out in the same over by James Anderson.

Wickets were kept on falling from one end but the Indian captain tried to hold the one end from his side and he completed his fifty but the effort was just not enough to make India go beyond the line. He was bowled by All rounder stokes and when he got out the Indian hopes got out as well.
