Darren Bravo, Nicholas Pooran got started but they weren’t able to capitulate on their start and got out after scoring 18 runs each, as West Indies was struggling at 79 for 7, their all-rounder and former skipper Jason Holder took the responsibility on his shoulder.

he ensured that West Indies post a respectable total and he added 78 runs for the eighth wicket with Fabian Allen, and in the meantime, Jason Holder completed his half-century.

because of his efforts, West Indies was able to put 176 runs on board at one point in time it looked like they will be all out before putting 100 runs on their board.

India Chased down easily:

the target for the Indian team wasn’t very big India’s skipper opened with Ishan Kishan and for the first wicket both of them added 84 runs, and in this partnership, it was all Rohit Sharma who did most of the damage.

He made 60 runs off 51 balls before getting out to Alzarri Joseph, Virat Kohli wasn’t able to score big and he made 8 runs off 4 balls, despite losing two big wickets the match was still in the grasp of India.

Ishan Kishan looked good for his 36 and he got when the team’s score was 115 runs, Rishabh Pant made 11 runs off 9 balls, and India was 116 for 4 wickets,

at that time it looked like the flood gates might open but Suryakumar Yadav and debutant Deepak Hooda made sure that India lose no further wickets and both of them took the Indian team over the winning margin.

Milestone for Chahal:

If India was able to stop West Indies on a low score the big role was played by Yuzvendra Chahal as he took 4 wickets by giving only 49 runs in 9.5 overs.

When Chahal took the wicket of West Indies captain he completed his 100 ODI wickets and because of his performance he was selected as player of the Match.
