ICC Test Ranking: Australia jumps to No.1 spot, India slips to 3rd

ICC Test Ranking:

(ICC Test Ranking) Australia has surpassed India and New Zealand in the current ICC test rankings, Australia got rewarded for their thumping series victory over England, in the recent Ashes series.

Australia won the series by the margin of 4-0, and the series win Australia has now 119 points, which makes them sit on top of the ICC test rankings, before Australia, India was the number one ranked team, but they lost their series to South Africa which cost them their spot.

with the series loss to South Africa, India now has 116 points which allow them to sit on number 3 position in the rankings, although India started their South Africa tour on high where the Indian team won the first test match but then lost 2 matches back to back.

with the victory over the Indian team, South Africa has 99 points and they are sitting on number five position in the rankings, meanwhile, Pakistan has 93 points and currently, they are in the sixth position.

winners of ICC test Championship New Zealand’s position didn’t change they are maintaining their number two spot with 117 points, the Kane Williamson led side, recently played test series against Bangladesh.

the result of the series came as a draw, in the first test Bangladesh beat the home side comfortably, but soon the host bounced back in the series and wins the second match, thus resulting in the series in 1-1.

In Current test rankings Australia is on top with 119 points, New Zealand in on second with 117 points, Indian team in on third with 116 points, England is in the fourth position with 101 points, South Africa fifth position with 99 points, Pakistan has the sixth position with 93 points.

Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Zimbabwe are currently sitting in seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth position with points 83, 75, 53, and 31 to their names.
