Indian team is playing test match after seven years
Ind vs Eng
After a long wait of 7 years, the Indian women’s cricket team has finally come out to play the Test match and it showed a strong game on the very first day. England did well in the first two sessions but the third session of the day was entirely in India’s name, especially the names of Indian spinners Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana. By tea time, England had scored 162 runs for the loss of two wickets. Even after this, she was moving ahead strongly but the Indian spinners turned the dice and did not allow England captain Heather Knight (95) to complete her century. England ended the first day with 269 runs for the loss of six wickets.
Knight remained the highest score on the first day for England. He faced 175 balls in his innings and hit nine fours. Apart from him, Tammy Beaumont played an innings of 66 runs in 144 balls with the help of six fours. Sneh Rana, who was debuting for India, took three and Deepti Sharma took two wickets.
Captain Heather Knight missed a century
Deepti broke Knight’s dream of a second Test century and sent him out lbw on the first ball of the 79th over and sent him to the pavilion. Knight also reviewed this, but like the previous two reviews, it also went in vain and Knight had to go out. Knight faced 175 balls in his innings of 95 runs and hit nine fours.
India’s domanite on the third session
The first two sessions were in the name of England but in the last session of the day, India made a strong comeback and brought England under pressure by taking four wickets. These four wickets were taken by the spinners.
