The Test Series between India and England is set to start from 5th February and the question which is going to raise is the will India going to trap the English batsmen in a web of spin. The English team toured Sri Lanka in the previous month where the pitches were spinning a lot yet they were able to win the series with a margin of 2-0. But the only batsmen who were having the answer against the Lankan spinners were England captain Joe Root who scored a double hundred and one hundred against the Lankans.
(Ind vs Eng) In this series Joe Root will get help from the all rounder Ben Stokes who was rested in the series against Sri Lanka and got good record against India. The spin department of England seems to be not so threating and in the recent past Indian pitches has not been so spinners paradise. But looking at the England batting against Sri Lanka India can opt for Spinning wickets as they have one of the quality spinner in their squad.
(Ind vs Eng) Ravi Ashwin has been India’s go to bowler especially in the Indian sub-continent, Ashwin has taken 254 wickets in which he has took 6 10fers and 21fifers with an average of 22.80. If the Indian team opt for the turning tracks it will help their spin bowlers as they are habitual of bowling the longer spells.
