IND vs SA ODI:
(Ind vs SA ODI) After the test series, India and South Africa are ready to take each other on for the ODI series, in the recently held test series South Africa claimed the series by a margin of 2-1, the ODI series between the two sides will begin from 19th January at Boland Park.
the ODI series will have 3 matches, the Indian team will be playing under the captaincy of KL Rahul, as Rohit Sharma was injured was suffering from a hamstring problem, from which he hasn’t recovered yet, because of his injury Rohit Sharma missed the test series as well.
So, it is going to be a test of KL Rahul, although KL Rahul recently captained the Indian team in the second test against South Africa and he was the captain of Kings XI Punjab in IPL, so he does have experience of leading a team.
apart from KL Rahul, eyes will be on India’s former captain Virat Kohli, how he goes about the things, there have been many things that have happened with Virat Kohli and his fiasco with BCCI, where daily new statements were coming.
and after the series lost from South Africa, he resigned from red ball captaincy as well, so he will be playing his first match as a player after 2017, the form is also a main concern for the Indian star.
its’ been more than 2 years since Virat Kohli scored his century in any format of the game, so it is going to be made or break situation for the former captain of the Indian team.
Shikhar Dhawan will be making his comeback to the team, and this might be his last chance to prove his worth, Shikhar Dhawan was not selected into the side for the T20 world cup despite having a good performance in IPL.
Venkatesh Iyer and Ruturaj Gaikwad were also selected for the team and it will be interesting to see if they get any game or not.
