India Tour of South Africa:
South Africa has all been one of the toughest sides to tour because African pitches have got all the elements that can trouble a batter, they got pace, bounce along with swing, and when you are an opening batter you just look to survive. India has toured South Africa and them yet to win a series in Africa.
India has toured Africa in 2017-18 where they lost three-match series by a margin of 2-1 and prior to that India toured South Africa in 2013-14 where the guest lost the series by 2-0. Now touring South Africa can become India’s best chance to claim their first-ever series win in South Africa. India lost the 2018 series because the team wasn’t able to hold the game in a crunch situation and it cost them the series.
(India Tour of South Africa) But this time the team looks ready and it has all the experience required, the Indian team has one of the lethal fast bowling attacks which they lacked on their previous tour of Africa and their batters look solid at least on paper. The team may miss the services of their ODI captain Rohit Sharma who pulled out of the Test series due to a hamstring problem.
The Virat Kohli and Co. will like to put Africans under the pump from the word go as it suits the style of the Indian captain, the team will start their journey from the boxing day test which starts from 26th December 2021. And the venue of the first test match in Centurion is the fort of guests. South African team has played 28 matches and they have won 21 matches only two matches have been won by touring side.
India has played two matches on this venue and they have lost both matches, so it is not going to be easy for Kohli and co. to breach the gates of this African fort
