against West Indies, the tour of West Indies contains 3 ODIs and 3 T20i, which will be hosted by Ahmedabad and Kolkata respectively.
Rishi Dhawan had one of the sensational Domestic years where he lead Himachal Pradesh to their first-ever Vijay Hazar Trophy,
and if he is selected in the Indian team then he will be making his comeback in the Indian team after 6 years. As he
made his debut against Zimbabwe in the year 2016. and alongside him, Tamil Nadu’s batter Shahrukh Khan is likely to
get his maiden for the three-match T20i series which is
starting from 16th of February in Kolkata. Just like Rishi Dhawan, Shahrukh played a crucial role in
helping his team in winning the domestic T20 cup Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, in the final he hit the
last ball six to seal the game for his team.
Rishi Dhawan made 458 runs and took 18 wickets in eight matches of Vijay Hazare’s trophy, which made his case quite
stronger for the national call-up after six years, although he is just in contention right now
the meeting for the team selection is supposed to happen this week.
Replacement of Hardik Pandya
India’s regular All-rounder Hardik Pandya isn’t fully fit and because his recovery is taking too much time, the Indian management
is looking at Rishi Dhawan to fill the void of an all-rounder in the absence of Hardik Pandya. Venkatesh Iyer another all-rounder from Madhya Pradesh is in line but management wants him to be a T20 specialist.
according to reports, Kuldeep Yadav might get his place back in the team, and Kings XI Punjab’s leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi might
get his maiden call for the Indian team for the T20i against West Indies.
