Chennai: IPL 2021 Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Kolkata Knight Riders (RCB vs KKR) by 38 runs in today’s first match. In reply to RCB’s massive target of 205 runs in the match at Chepok Stadium Chennai, KKR managed to score 166 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. the KKR batsmen batted well in the beginning, but none of the batsmen could turn their start into a big inning. RCB has won all three of their matches in the season and the team has once again topped the table with 6 points. This is KKR’s second defeat in 3 matches and the team got the sixth position on the point table.

RCB won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 204 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs on the back of stormy innings from Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers. Maxwell scored 78 off 49 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes. AB de Villiers scored an unbeaten 76 off 34 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes. KKR’s team could not achieve this goal. KKR were 166 for eight wickets.
