29 matches of IPL 2021 have been played and 31 matches are yet to be held. It is reported that the dates of these 31 matches have also been fixed and they will be held in the UAE.

The remaining matches of IPL 2021 can be held in UAE from 19 September. At the same time, its final match can be played on October 10. According to the report, a senior BCCI official told PTI that “the remaining matches of the tournament will be concluded in 3 weeks, with 10 double-header matches.”
IPL 2021 was postponed due to coronavirus. By the time this tournament was postponed, 29 matches had been played. While 31 matches are yet to be held. According to the report, the BCCI says that a 3-week window is enough to organize these 31 matches. 3 weeks i.e. 21 days. In these 21 days, the Indian board plans to have 7 single matches, 4 playoffs, and 10 doubleheaders.
Players will fly to UAE from England
According to the report, the BCCI did not talk to the ECB about shortening the England series. The India England series will start and end at its own time. This series will start from 4 August and will run till 14 September. After this series, Indian players are likely to fly to UAE from there itself. According to the report, since the players will go from one bubble to another, in such a situation, they will have to remain quarantined for only 3 days.
According to what the BCCI official has told the PTI, the start date of the league has been given to the stakeholder from 18 to 20 September. September 18 is Saturday, while September 19 is Sunday. So, the board would like the league to start on the same weekend date. Similarly, the final can be held on 9 or 10 October. The Indian team’s England tour ends on September 14, after which all the players except Hanuma Vihari and Abhimanyu Easwaran will reach UAE.

A franchise official confirmed that a BCCI letter has been received in this regard. The team official said, “The BCCI has asked us to be prepared for the tournament. We have been given time between 15 to 20 September.”
