IPL Season 15:
(IPL Season 15) Some big players from England and Australia are set to miss the new edition of IPL, as they have decided to
not put their names for the auction which is going to be held on February 12 and 13. Name of these players are Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Mitchell Starc, apart from Archer and Stokes rest of the two-player haven’t played a single game in the previous seasons of IPL.
Joe Root was never a part of IPL and Mitchell Starc played his last IPL game for RCB seven years back, 1214 players have registered themselves for the IPL auction, the list was provided to IPL franchises on the 21st of January. although the English red ball captain has always preferred the team for IPl and he once said that he will sacrifice IPL for his national team,
the absence of Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer is shocking. As both of them are core members of the Rajasthan franchise which is owned by Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty.
But some big players who have registered themselves for the auction are Pat Cummins, David Warner, Mark Wood, Quinton De Kock, Steve Smith, etc. all of them have set their base price as 2 crores. from South Africa, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, and Marco Jensen have registered themselves for the mega auction.
apart from Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Mitchell Starc, and Jofra Archer, one prominent name which was missing from the IPL was Chris Gayle, the Jamaican guy who was regularly seen in the IPL is set to miss the IPL this time.
Legends are not Happy
one of the reasons why some big players are not very keen to be a part of IPL is many English legends have blamed the IPL for their team’s poor performance in the recently held Ashes where the English team faced the series loss by 4-0 margin.
