The reason for this is the exciting game and no-ball controversy in the last over of the match. In the last over, Delhi needed 36 runs to win. Rovman Powell had hit three consecutive sixes in the over bowled by Obed McCoy, but there was a dispute over the third ball. Delhi’s assistant coach Praveen Amre also came on the field to talk to the umpires. Delhi’s captain Rishabh Pant had signaled his batsmen to come back, but then another assistant coach Shane Watson reprimanded him and then Pant changed his decision. The Delhi team said that it took the help of the third umpire should be known. When all this was happening on the ground when the spectators sitting in the stands started shouting cheater, cheater slogans loudly. The umpires, however, did not take the help of the third umpire as the rules do not permit this.

Pant said the big thing

After the match, Pant spoke about this controversy. He said, “I think he bowled well throughout the match. At last, Pavel gave us a chance. I think no ball could have been very important, but it is not in our control. Yes, I am disappointed, but can’t do much about it. Everyone sitting in the dugout was disappointed as it was not even a close affair. Everyone on the field saw this. I think the third umpire had to intervene because it was a no-ball.”
