Pant: Attack is not always best form of Defense

Rishabh Pant:

Rishabh Pant young guy who helped India breach fortress Gabba, whose attacking approach put India almost in a winning position in the Sydney, test, but his attacking approach has been under the radar of legends lately.

this came after his horrendous shot in the second innings of the Wanderers test where the Indian batting lineup was battling against the South Africa bowling lineup, Rishabh Pant charges down the track to Kagiso Rabada and threw his wicket away.

this is not the first time this has happened where Pant threw his wicket away, the prime example of Pant throwing his wicket is when he was promoted to number 4 in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup against New Zealand.

When he came to bat India already lost Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant controlled in natural instinct and played 56 balls for his 32 runs, but all of a sudden he tried to slog sweep left-arm spinner Mitchell Santer and gave his wicket away.

Pant has been terrific for India especially in Test cricket, and he is one of the reasons behind Indian Winning the Border Gavaskar Trophy second time in Australia, he has the ability to counterpunch the opposition attack to take the game away from them.

But his counter-attacking fires back which is not a good sign for Pant and for the Indian team, since the WTC final Pant hasn’t been able to justify his talent he has played 13 innings in which he has scored 250 runs Averaging just 19.23 with a highest of 50 runs.

There is no doubt that Rishabh Pant is one of the exciting cricketing talents and he has proven his worth on many occasions, but one thing which can question his selection is his approach when the team is struggling.

We hope he regains his form back and wins matches for India as he used to do.
