India’s regular white-ball captain Rohit Sharma has been declared fit and will lead the Indian side for the six-match white-ball series, which will
have 3 ODIs and 3 T20is, the tour will begin with ODI series and all of the three matches will be played in Ahmedabad,
which will be followed by 3 matches T20 series.
meeting for the selection of the Indian team is going to happen this week, and some of the senior players will be under
the scanner, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ravi Ashwin failed to put any kind of impact in the recently held ODI series against South Africa, so it will be interesting
to see what selectors do after their indifferent performance. but this is confirmed that Rohit Sharma will be making his
comeback to the Indian team, he was suffering from the hamstring
injury which ruled him out for the South Africa tour, the T20 matches against the West Indies team are going to host
by Kolkata at the Eden garden stadium.
It is almost certain that for the time being Rohit will get the captaincy to lead the Indian side in the red ball as well, although BCCI is also
looking for alternate options so that Rohit can manage his workload as he will be leading the Indian side in back-to-back World Cups.
first, he will lead the side in T20 World Cup which is going to be held in Australia, and then in 50 over world cup in India
in 2023. And in another news India’s all-rounder Hardik can make his comeback for the West Indies series, as he was seen bowling in the nets,
although it is not very clear that is he going to bowl in the full-tilt, Ventakesh Iyer is quite new and inexperienced at the
number 6 position so maybe he has to make way for Hardik Pandya.
