SA vs IND 1st ODI:
(SA vs IND 1st ODI) it looks like India’s middle-order problem are having no end on their tour of South Africa, firstly in the second and third test match India had to bear the loss because of their middle-order
but the same problem looks to continue in the white-ball format as well, because of this the Indian team faced the loss in the first ODI of the series, after winning the toss South African captain Temba Bavuma elected to bat first.
although his decision look liked backfiring as at one point South Africa was struggling at 68 for 3 wickets, with Quinton De Kock, Aiden Markram, and Janeman Malan back in the pavilion.
but Temba Bavuma and Rassie Van Der Dussen had other ideas, both of them started to build the innings for the South African team and made sure that it goes to a respectable total,
both the batter Temba Bavuma and Rassie Van Der Dussen completed their centuries and they had a stand of 204 runs among them for the 4th wicket,
because of their efforts African team was able to put 296 runs on board with the loss of 4 wickets,
now given the batting standards of the Indian team, the chase was always on, but Indian captain KL Rahul departed in the ninth over as he made only 12 runs off 17 balls.
after his departure, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan steadied the Indian team and both of them added 92 runs for the second wicket, Shikhar Dhawan was looking solid for his century but he failed and got out on the score of 79 runs.
Kohli also completed his fifty but he wasn’t able to get going with this and got out to Tabrez Shamsi, after his departure Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Venkatesh Iyer failed to put an impact and soon Indian team went from 152 for 3 to 199 for 7.
All-rounder Shardul Thakur tried his best but it was too late for the team, he made an unbeaten 50 runs off 43 balls.
