U 19 World Cup: Australia beats Pakistan by 119 runs

U-19 World Cup:

(U-19 World Cup) Yesterday Australian U-19 team beats the Pakistan U-19 team by the margin of 119 runs, Australians batted first and made 276 runs with the loss of 7 wickets, for Australia their opener Teague Wyllie and Campbell Kellaway gave a good start of 86 runs, but Campbell got short 3 runs of his half-century and got out on the score of 47 runs.

after his departure, Corey Miller provided support to Teague Wyllie and both of them added 101 runs for the second wicket, between this both the batter completed their half-centuries, and as they were looking solid to score big Teague Wyllie got out after scoring 71 runs off 97 balls, after Wyllie, Miller soon followed him and he made 64 runs.

Australian skipper Cooper Connolly and lower order batter William Salzmann did a cameo of 33 runs and 25 runs respectively which helped the Australian to go past the 270 run mark. For Pakistan Zeeshan Zameer, Ahmed Khan and Maaz Sadaqat took 2 wickets each.

 

Pakistan’ Chase:

to chase this big target Pakistan wanted a solid start as Australia got but their openers weren’t able to provide the start and the first wicket of Pakistan falls on the score of 16 runs, as Muhammad Shehzad made 9 runs off 7 balls and he got out to Jack Nisbet.

Haseebullah Khan soon followed Muhammad Shehzad to the pavilion as he made just 10 runs off 10 balls and Pakistan was struggling at 27 for 2 wickets, then Abdul Faseeh and Irfan Khan tries to steady Pakistan’s innings as they added 50 runs for the third wicket. as it looked like Irfan and Abdul has steadied the innings, Irfan Khan got out and thus started the collapse of Pakistan’s batting.

After the departure of Irfan Khan, only two batters were able to touch the double-digit score but that was not enough to take Pakistan to the victory and the whole team got out to 157 runs.
